Everyone taking part in NATS (Nottingham All Terrain bikeS) rides, or other activities organised by the group, does so at their own risk and is deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following if they attend a ride:
We do not employ qualified guides, leaders or first aiders on any of our events. The group works on the same basis of being a group of friends who go out cycling together, who invite others to join them on this basis. Event organisers and event hosts assume no responsibility for anyone attending any group event. The Group, Group organisers, event organisers and event hosts will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss occurring as a result of any Group event or in connection with travel to such event, however caused.
When you join a ride or other event, however you may have signed up for it, you indicate that you accept these conditions and accept that no legal liability is accepted by the Group, Group organisers, event organisers or event hosts in the event of accident or injury, however caused.
Participants in Group events are reminded that outdoor activities frequently need specialist equipment (helmets, spare parts, etc) and the group does not provide these. EVERYONE MUST WEAR A HELMET, and knee and elbow pads are also recommended. Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and their guests and the suitability of any equipment used.
While accepting no responsibility or liability, for rides and other outdoor events, the event host or ride leader may, at their discretion, not admit you to join the ride or other event if in their opinion you are ill-equipped for the terrain and weather conditions.
Accompanied children under 18 are welcome only at the discretion of the ride leader - please check with the ride leader beforehand to ensure that the terrain and distance are suitable. Children under 16 cannot join a ride.
Dogs are not allowed on rides.
Please also note that for reasons outside of our control, it may be necessary to change the proposed route, either before or during the event. This may result in a longer ride than was originally anticipated.
